Don't even act like you've never been here. Maybe you had too much fun last night, maybe you're addicted to something on Netflix and you don't wanna take off your comfy clothes, or maybe you just don't feel too good and you don't really feel like moving. Either way, when hunger strikes and you find yourself in this quandary; TheSizzle wants to ease your sorrows and hunger.
I'd like to divulge that as I write this, I'm currently in this sitch. I don't feel good, I'm not sick but I just plain 'ole don't feel good and I for once don't feel like cooking.
Here are my go to places:
1.) Pho. Pho is magical broth put on this earth to ease colds/flu/hangover/rainy day blues and general magic. If Les Ba'get would please HURRY UP and open, I would be en route RIGHT NOW for a big bowl of pho tai with EXTRA lime. My fave place near our home now is Pho Saigon on Milam.
2.) A big bowl of posole from Local Foods. Their green posole is bombtastic, and makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Their lemongrass chicken soup (when they have it) also has been known to be irresistible and perfect.
3.) A big juicy burger. I have been dying to have one from the Burger Joint, but they haven't opened yet so I'll wait with bated breath... In the meantime I will go to Max's Wine Dive and get a juicy delicious burger there. Add caramelized onions... you're welcome.
4.) AKA Sushi. MainSqueeze and I have an amazing tradition of picking up AKA and a bottle of red wine on Sunday nights, curling up and watching our favorite show (usually Game of Thrones, True Detectives or Homeland) and savoring the magical sushi that AKA has to offer. Our faves are the French Kiss, Flamin' Roll, Spider Mon, Chili Garlic and the Ninja. YUM.
So there ya have it. My top 5 go to meals when I don't want to cook, don't really want to move that much, or don't feel good. May these all rain delightfully upon your tastebuds.
