Sparkling Sounds of Summer meets TheSizzle

Aloha Amigos!

Last week I was lucky enough to get to try the summer special Happy Hour at Eddie V's in West Ave. I had gone to Eddie V's at that location once before for a late night steak and wine snack with ones of my BFF's, but to be honest I had totally forgotten how delicious it was!

This summer, Eddie V's is featuring some awesome Happy Hour specials, starting with $5 light bites and some deliciously decadent and fizzy cocktails. I grabbed some gal pals and we made our way over for Friday's Happy Hour, featuring the music of one of my favorite crooners Michael Bublé. Hurry up and go now, the event ends August 29th! Link to menu and schedule.

We were seated in a comfy booth in the lounge. I LOVE booths, ever since I was a little girl. We all know my first option is always sitting at the bar, or outside, but a booth is a close second.

Since posts can get lengthy, I'm going to give you a concise rundown, with descriptions and my favorite items. Again, thanks Eddie V's for having us, we'll be back! Also, pardon my photo quality, I'm working on getting a jazzier camera to knock your socks off!

I started with a glass of Chandon Rosé, because yes way rosé. The gals opted for the Chandon Citrus Sparkler and the Tokyo Margarita, which were both really great; nothing too sweet or cloying, A+ in my book.

Then we got fancy and told our amazing server Lauren to bring us "one of everything" and an order of the crab claws (which were on special at the time). We finished up with a Blackberry Cobbler that honestly really impressed me. They used lemon zest, not too much sugar, whole blackberries and a crispy almost sugar-cookie like crust on top that was thin and really satisfying. I'd love to recreate that here at Maison du Sizzle.

Here you go kids, feast your eyes. And if you like what you see, go hit up Sparkling Sounds of Summer while it lasts!

Gruyere fritters. A little doughy and heavy for me personally.

Overall, our favorites were the Shrimp, Steak Tataki and the Blackberry Cobbler. All great options! If you make it over there and find a new favorite, let us know so we can check it out!

Stay tuned for some exciting news and a special offer coming your way from yours truly! Hint: if you like tacos....you'll be PUMPED.

Until then,
